demandez quelle heure il est;
et le vent,
la vague,
l'étoile,
l'oiseau,
l'horloge,
enivrez-vous;

Always be drunk.
That's it!
The great imperative!
In order not to feel
Time's horrid fardel
bruise your shoulders,
grinding you into the earth,
Get drunk and stay that way.
On what?
On wine, poetry, virtue, whatever.
But get drunk.
And if you sometimes happen to wake up
on the porches of a palace,
in the green grass of a ditch,
in the dismal loneliness of your own room,
your drunkenness gone or disappearing,
ask the wind,
the wave,
the star,
the bird,
the clock,
ask everything that flees,
everything that groans
or rolls
or sings,
everything that speaks,
ask what time it is;
and the wind,
the wave,
the star,
the bird,
the clock
will answer you:
"Time to get drunk!
Don't be martyred slaves of Time,
Get drunk!
Stay drunk!
On wine, virtue, poetry, whatever!"

Materials Needed:
Medium Worsted Yarn
Size I/9-5.5mm Crochet Hook
Yarn Needle
Scissors
Directions:
(For smaller bow tie)
Foundation: Ch 37
Round 1: HDC in third chain from hook and all the way down, then Ch 1
Round 2-5: Turn. 35 HDC and Ch1.
Cut tail at about 6 1/2"
Line up edges and sew together
For Middle Part:
Foundation: Ch 17
Round 1: SC in third chain from hook and all the way down, then Ch 1
Round 2-3: Turn. 15 SC and Ch 1.
Cut tail at about 4"
Assembly:
Fold band in half so that seam is in the middle. Fold smaller piece in middle with open parts over seam (this will be the back side). Tie ends of smaller piece in a knot and pull to the sides. Sew the ends of the knot to the back piece of the bow (only go through the back layer of the bow tie, stitches should not show on the front of the bow tie).
